Science Ambassadors
Children in Year 5 have the opportunity to apply for the position of Science Ambassador for the year. They write a letter of application which is considered carefully before positions are awarded. Once in post, a small team of Science Ambassadors plan events for the whole school. They are involved in delivering assemblies around science themes and plan our annual Science Competition which usually takes place around British Science Week. They also plan a whole school science investigation and present the data from this in assembly. This year our Science Ambassadors have introduced a question box, where children can post science questions that they have always wondered about. The Science Ambassadors will do some research and write a reply which they deliver to class. They will also offer information for where to find out more for our older children. The Science Ambassadors have helped our school to collect data for the Great British Bird Watch and led lunchtime nature walks to support our mental health curriculum.
