Pupil Volunteers and Charity Work
Pupils in Years 4 and 5 are given the opportunity to taker part in our school volunteering programme. Those who sign up to do this, are making a commitment to help our school community become an even better place to be. Examples of work our volunteers do are helping staff out with tasks at dinner, taking responsibility for keeping areas tidy or supporting our younger children at break times. This may also involve some work in our community such as litter picking or entertaining our local care home residents.
Our Pupil Volunteers
Charity Work
Each year, our pupils and familiies support many local and national charities. These have included Macmillan Cancer Research, Willowbrook Hospice, Children in Need, The Dog's Trust and the Royal British Legion. We also collect food donations for the local Church Harvest Festival and St Helen's Foodbanks. We believe that it is vital for our pupils to recognise the value in giving back to their own communities and helping others in any way they can.
This year our Pupil Leadership Team assisted by our Head and Deputy girls and Boys, will lead a charity fundraising drive for different local and national charitiesd to give back in ways that we can. They have been set a target challenge to raise £1000 for charities of their choice over the academic year.
