Egg-citing Activities
Date: 28th Mar 2016 @ 8:49pm
During Easter week the children took part in a variety of egg-citing activities using eggs. We had an egg roll whereby the children used Podley to create different sized tubes for the eggs to roll down. They then marked where their egg landed and compared how far it went with each other. They also created different sized walls for Humpty Dumpty eggs to fall off. We used egg shells to create heads with cress seeds inside so that they will have green cress hair. In the water tray they investigated what happened to plastic egg shells when they put objects inside them. The children used a range of mathematical language and vocabulary during our activities and they especially enjoyed cracking a lot of eggs.
