Book Week 24th February to 28th February 2020

"Reading is Out of This World!"

The whole school had an enjoyable week full of exciting reading activities.  Book Week began with all the teachers describing their favourite books and  the children choosing which text to listen to. Older children prepared and shared stories with younger children in school.  The infant children were delighted with their new "Reading Buddies"!  Each day the whole school enjoyed Drop Everything and Read time in which everyone stopped what they were doing and read at the same time.  On Wednesday a lot of characters who were "out of this world" appeared at school!  The costumes were so creative that a book prize was awarded for the most imaginative costume in each class this year.  Our writing competition was of a very high standard and it was very difficult just to choose two winners from each class.  Our Extreme Reading Challenge was well supported and we were amazed at all our highly adventurous readers.  Well done everyone and thank you for supporting our fabulous Book Week!
